Family Secrets.....Motives.....Murder

After a local resident of Mystic Grove Wisconsin is murdered, a Door County lawyer hires private investigators, Liz Bean and Sam Nolan, to find the killer. He wants justice, which will also hopefully exonerate his one of the main suspects: his son.

Liz dives into the case and discovers that the victim suffered a tragic past. He also had secrets that brought him into contact with many people who might have killed him.

When their client imposes a new deadline, Liz and Sam struggle to identify their main suspects: two men who had been spotted at the murder scene. Were they the killers? If so, did they act alone? Will they strike again? Liz and Sam's investigation reveals a truth that stuns everyone. It also shines a light on their client's hidden motive.

While growing up on the South Side of Chicago, S.F. Bose read all of the Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew mystery books. Inspired by those books, she and her friends scoured their neighborhood looking for missing persons, blackmailers, and murderers. Unfortunately, it was a peaceful part of the city and the budding private investigators couldn’t find a single criminal.

As an adult, S.F. Bose worked as a technology manager for many years, but her true love remained reading mystery books and writing stories. After leaving corporate life behind, she decided to take the leap and started writing and publishing mysteries. When not writing, she enjoys puzzles, cooking, gardening, and thinking up creative ways to murder people.

This is the third book in the Liz Bean series, and I’ve enjoyed each one more than the one before. S.F. Bose truly knows how to write a murder mystery. I’ve enjoyed getting to know the characters in the books. I’ve tried to figure out the ending, but Ms. Bose is too clever for me. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this book as much as I did.

I am a huge fan of the Liz Bean series and was delighted when this third book came out! It definitely did not disappoint! It is a good mystery and it has been fun to see the characters develop over the series. As with the others in this series, the plot is not predictable and the ending is great. Fun summer read!

If you like mysteries this is perfect. Each chapter leads me to the next, trying to guess the ending. Just enough intrigue, humor and romance to keep my interest. I will definitely read more of the Liz Bean Mystery series

So many complications and so many possible suspects. Will Liz and Sam be able to solve this very complicated case?
I loved all three books in this series and hope there will be more!

Please DON'T let this be the end.....these people are my new best friends! Love their wackiness, their idiosyncrasies, and their aim to "do the right thing."

I was delighted to be back with Liz and Sam again. The characters and their relationship are developing steadily and the mystery was one I could sink my teeth into. There's a great balance in the story between the detective work and the characters' lives away from their jobs. Look forward to the next one in the series.
